Speech and Debate Camp

This camp is ideal for students interested in learning about competing and enhancing their skills in middle and high school speech and debate. The camp will be taught by National Award- Winning Coaches. Speech events taught in the camp may include Original Oratory, Impromptu and Extemporaneous. Debate Events may include Public Forum, Congress and Parliament (time permitting). Emphasis will be on understanding the fundamentals of Speech and Debate, and skills needed to compete in competitive Bay Area Leagues and the National Speech and Debate Association Tournaments. Students will learn about current events a the national and international level, how to research, understand, arue and present different sides of issues, as well as ethical principles that are at the core of Speech & Debate.
